Thanks to everyone who has come to see us and #ExperienceQueenStFare. We want you to know that we’re listening to the feedback and questions you’ve been sending in. Here are some of the ones we seen to be getting more frequently than others, so we’d like to take a few minutes to address each of them.
Our Hours
Communicating when we’re open is a challenge because we operate like a restaurant, bar and live music venue. It could be said that we have two sets of hours: when the food vendors are serving and when the bar is open.
Here’s a summary of how it works:
Weekdays
Bar Robo is open for coffee, fresh baked good and breakfast sandwiches at 6am. All vendors start serving at 10:30am and will be serving until 9pm (10pm on Friday). Q Bar starts serving drinks at 11am and will do so until 10pm, except on Fridays when we’re serving later because we’ll have live music events that run later.
Weekends
Saturday and Sundays, all vendors will start serving food at 10am. In addition to their full menus, many vendors will have special brunch dishes available on Saturday and Sundays. For example, Mercadito serves a huevos rancheros tostada and a breakfast burrito only on the weekend at brunch. Q Bar starts serving at 11am and closes at 1am on Friday and Saturday, but will close at 3pm on Sunday when we close the food hall.
Reservations
We do not take reservations simply because we have no way of managing them. If you would like to dine as a group, we suggest that a few members of your group arrive early and set aside some seats for everyone.
Parking
There is limited valet parking available in the Sun Life Financial Centre so if you’re choosing to drive down to see us, we recommend parking at the World Exchange Plaza (parking is limited), at Constitution Square or on the streets that surround the food hall. Parking at the World Exchange Plaza is free on Saturdays and Sundays. If you need to find parking, we recommend you consult with Parkopedia to see parking options in the area.
Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free Options
There are lots of great options at Queen St. Fare for vegetarians, vegans and those people who avoid gluten. Menus for each vendor are available on their pages on our website.
If you don’t see something that clearly suits you on a vendor’s menu, just ask a them any questions you might have, as they may be able to accommodate you.
Live Music , Entertainment & Special Events
We plan on having some sort of live music or entertainment as often as possible. If you are interesting in the music bookings or hosting a special event like a private party or wedding, you can email our event coordinator directly at info@queenstfare.ca or fill out the Event Request Form.
